Safe and Effective Skincare for the whole family!!

Are you looking for the perfect skincare that works for you, your hubby or wife, kids and more? VMV Hypoallergenics is “a hypoallergenic, cosmeceutical doctor brand with oodles of products” as their website reads. They make products that are safe for every part of the skin and help with every sort of problem from diaper rash to those fine lines. They say they have a crazy “skinfatuation”! Clever, right? Well this week LLD spoke with one of the women behind the scenes, Ms. Laura Verallo de Bertotto about how she became involved with VMV Hypoallergenics and the story behind the product.

 

1.       Tell us your story! What made you start VMV Hypoallergenics?

VMV Hypoallergenics has had two “births” of sorts : ) My mother started the brand because of her patients’ needs. She is a dermatologist-dermatopathologist who is very research oriented (over a hundred published/presented studies) and a contact dermatitis specialist. She started making formulations based on her research because she couldn’t find alternatives for her patients with contact allergies and acne. I was always an early “guinea pig” for the company as I had acne and my sister has awful allergies. The 2nd “birth” of VMV was when my mom asked me to join the company officially. At the time, it was utilitarian in its approach: science, science, science. I saw an opportunity to fine tune the branding to include more of the family’s heritage and make it warmer, which we really are : ). When my 1st child was born, we did this even more, creating a mom and baby line with my baby’s face on the bear and naming the line after a great grandmother. All VMV products are this unusual mix of highly scientific and highly personal born from a demand by my mother’s actual patients combined with a twist of family.

2.       How does it feel to make a difference in the lives of mothers across the US?

It’s the letters that we get from moms and dads that make the most impact on us! Being a new parent can be stressful enough. If your child is constantly itchy, dry and uncomfortable and who may also be more restless and not sleeping well…that adds a degree of difficulty. I was a nervous new mom and I developed a whole new appreciation for peace of mind. When parents write us about VMV finally working for their babies or kids with atopic dermatitis, for example — or even just giving them the peace of mind of a scientifically-validated as safe product — we feel that sigh of relief deeply. I personally, viscerally feel the “whew” : )


3.       What is your favorite product right now & why?

I’ll give you 2 answers because they’re illustrative of my mom-career identity now. I LOVE The Big, Brave Boo-Boo Balm from our Grandma Minnie Mom & Baby line. It’s like a mom’s swiss army knife : ) Ouchless wound healing, great on extremely dry skin or patches of eczema; I’ve used it on diaper irritations, burns, sun blisters and even the inside of nostrils in runny-nose season! I use it on my toddler, baby, husband and me! On the vain front, I’m 300% dependent on Re-Eveything Eye Serum because of the anti-aging benefits but also it has this really cool subtle instant tightening that helps me look less exhausted in the morning.

Liability

You agree to hold harmless Lucky Lil’ Darlings, for any damages caused by one of its sitters working as a Domestic Provider for the Family.  The Family hereby acknowledges that LLD served only as placement agent among Domestic Provider and the Family.

You hereby agree that Lucky Lil’ Darlings is not to be held responsible for any type of property damage (to your car or a third party's car, or any other property) or bodily injury or death (to either occupants of your car or another car) resulting from one of its sitters using your vehicle. It is against LLD policy for sitters to use their own vehicles, and if you choose to allow a sitter to drive your vehicle, or drive any vehicle while working for you, LLD cannot be held liable for any results of your choice to do so. LLD makes no representations about its sitters driving records or claims any responsibility for the quality of the driving services performed.

Please also note that cancellations or rescheduling done within a 24-hour period of the start time of services are subject to the following fee: $50 fee in NY, NJ, CT & CA; and $40 fee in TX, IL, PA, GA & MA. By agreeing to this waiver you grant us permission to charge your credit card.

BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT, FAMILY AFFIRMATIVELY CONSENTS TO AUTOMATIC CHARGES TO THE CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD ACCOUNT PROVIDED BELOW. DURING THE TERM OF THIS AGREEMENT, THE APPLICABLE FEES AGREED TO BETWEEN THE REFERRING PARTY AND THE FAMILY WILL BE CHARGED AUTOMATICALLY TO THIS ACCOUNT. THE SERVICES PROVIDED ARE CONTINUOUS AND WILL CONTINUE UNTIL FAMILY CANCELS OR THE AGREEMENT IS OTHERWISE TERMINATED. FAMILY CAN CANCEL AT ANY TIME BY CONTACTING LLD AT [info@luckylildarlings.com or 917.608.1231]. LLD DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY WITH RESPECT TO ITS OBLIGATIONS UNDER THIS AGREEMENT OR OTHERWISE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN ANY EVENT, LLD’S LIABILITY TO FAMILY FOR ANY REASON AND UPON ANY CAUSE OF ACTION SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE NET AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID TO LLD BY FAMILY DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE DATE ON WHICH SUCH CLAIM ACCRUED.
