I waited anxiously for the pre-Memorial Day arrival of my visitors from the east coast, praying all day that the white Nissan would come safely up the driveway. Well, my prayers were answered when the door opened and one crying baby was plopped into my arms. I was in heaven. My daughter busily emptied her car and filled up my house with baby necessities. My house went through baby clutter shock as it had been a long time since it had seen any of these things. At last, the baby smell that I had missed was back. The twins had grown noticeably bigger and stronger, and they were applauded as they moved their heads bobbing from side-to-side like little circus performers.

We had our weekend entertainment lying in front of us. I volunteered for early morning feedings as my daughter and I tagged teamed again. It was nice to have them to myself in the peacefulness called dawn. There was a family cookout/baby reception that I had spent hours setting up outside only to be moved inside due to cool temperatures. Unfortunaltely we were packed like sardines for awhile indoors. It was a great time had by all and a wonderful welcome to the family for Amelia and Ava.
