How did you come up with the idea for Be Mini Couture?

A few years back, my husband and I were invited to a wedding with their one-year-old son, Cobb.  We wanted our baby to look dashing for the big event, but quickly found out how hard and inconvenient it is to dress a little one for a special occasion.  It took days of searching to find anything that was of the quality we wanted for the occasion. I knew there had to be a better way, so Be Mini Couture was born.

What’s the most exciting part of the business for you?
Waking up in the morning excited to go to work because you are working for yourself.  Also, talking with customers it is only clothing but I love when mothers are excited for our items and services.  I have 2 sons, 3 and 1, so I know how important they are to me and making sure they have comfortable, quality clothing.

What’s unique about Be Mini Couture?
We have over 35 of the top designers in children’s fashion in one spot.  It is very convenient for parents on the go or parents that do not want to “shop” with their kids.  Our prices tend to be quite a bit less than the department store retail prices.  Additionally, we provide detailed descriptions, size charts and visuals of all items so people always get it right the first time.  Our free shipping/free returns has also been a draw.  We are growing fast and adding new things every day!

Elmo’s Super Heroes was a big hit with the lil’ ones!

Shannon and the boys especially loved the participation portions of the show when the characters ask the lil’ ones in the crowd to join them in dancing and singing. The “Fabulous 5″ team of characters, with Super Elmo at the lead, remind our kids of 4 important daily regimens- eating healthy food, being active, practicing good hygiene, and getting plenty of sleep. What parent or sitter doesn’t want those ideas to be encouraged by some of their kids’ most beloved and trusted characters? Shannon and the boys were smiling from beginning to end and had a blast! This show is a definite crowd pleaser and will keep your lil’ ones engaged with captivating characters and, most importantly, will teach them the importance of good habits!

When I landed my first job out of college with the Radio City Rockettes I was over the moon. My job as coordinator was to manage a troupe of 200 women across the USA with their auditions/interviews, press appearances, shows, etc . Every year I go see the show to kick-off the holiday season. It has been a tradition for years & each year it gets better & better.  Here is my take on this year’s show.  Congratulations ladies on 85 years!

Before entering the show you are greeted by a friendly staff and exciting decorations, an environment that puts a smile on your lil darlings’ faces and puts the family at ease. The curtains open with “Sleigh Ride,” grasping kids’ attention with a magical, brilliantly lit performance. The Reindeer choreography here will impress and enchant people of all ages, and that’s only the start! Don’t worry about your kids attention spans waning- there is so much to see throughout this whole performance.

My first road show was in Detroit 2005. One of these Rockettes is now a LLD sitter!

The kiddies will be glued to their chairs- unless they’re jumping up to point out how many Santas multiply across the stage as Santa shows how he can be in more than one place at a time. Mommies might have to stop themselves from jumping up during one sequence that shows off decades worth of Rockettes original costumes and another that displays impossibly sparkling costumes, each containing 3,000 Swarovski Crystals. One of the kids’ favorites is sure to be when the Rockettes aboard a life-size double decker bus that playfully moves in front of a huge screen showing images of New York City landmarks. They’ll love pointing out all of the ones they recognize! The whole family will be engaged when it’s time to put on your 3D glasses and follow the enchanting images that dance all around you. But one of our favorite new numbers is the Rockettes video game, the visuals are tantalizing, the music and affects really are out of the world. Your lil’ darlings will be thrilled as live camels and sheep are introduced on stage during the re-telling of the birth of Jesus. Everyone will recognize classics like “Hark the Herald” and “Joy to the World”. This pageant-like ending will leave you feeling like it’s Christmas Eve.

Our stamp craft was a big hit with kids and moms!

LLD was thrilled to part of the celebration and our sitters had a blast stamping bags with the kids. The best part? They used fruits and veggies as the stamps, totally getting into the healthy groove Freshmade NYC promotes. Moms at the event loved our sitters and craft idea…and the kids loved being able to play with food!
